Migraine Resource Network (migraineresourcenetwork.com) Launches a Comprehensive Information and Educational Site for Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Pharmacists

MORRISVILLE, Pa., June 30 /PRNewswire/ — MediCom Worldwide, Inc., an accredited provider of continuing medical education for physicians, pharmacists, and nurses, announced today the launch of a centralized online repository of education and resources intended to be used as a credible source of up-to-date information and education on migraine.
The Migraine Resource Network (migraineresourcenetwork.com) will be the primary web-based information storage and dissemination tool used by a national multidisciplinary network of health care practitioners. The goal is to provide an extensive array of programs to support both clinical challenges and self-directed learning related to the diagnosis, assessment, and Treatment options available for patients suffering from migraines.
Migraine is a disabling, chronic condition that affects approximately 5% of men and 17% of women in the United States, but remains underdiagnosed and undertreated. Patients and clinicians need to be further educated about the diagnosis and Treatment of all types of migraine.
MediCom Worldwide knows from its experience in constructing other resource networks that the site will only be used if it supports patient care. To accomplish this, the new site was developed with the input of a group of world-renowned clinical experts in the Treatment of headache. In addition, all content developed for the site is subject to rigorous scientific peer review prior to posting, assuring the most relevant and accurate information.
Registered members of the migraine resource may access and print available assessment tools, supporting references, view video and audio programs, read relevant literature, and view a schedule of upcoming events and meetings. New technologies allow for simultaneous deployment of the same information in a variety of media types and formats, thereby allowing users to tailor their educational experience to their own individual needs.
MediCom Worldwide is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians; approved by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education to provide pharmacy continuing education; and approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing to provide nursing continuing education.
